Effective date: 2 August 2026

Applies to meshronix.com, our enquiry and booking channels, the Meshronix app account, and our support. It sits alongside our Terms and Conditions.

The short version

We keep this simple, because that is how we build. Your home runs on the Meshronix Local Core, which is designed to keep your home’s day-to-day data in your home. This policy is mostly about the other information: what you share when you enquire, book a walkthrough, or talk to us, and what our website collects when you visit. We only collect what we need, we tell you why, we do not sell your data, and you can ask us to show, correct, or delete it at any time.

The full detail is below.

1. Who we are

Meshronix builds engineered home automation for premium homes. The company responsible for your personal data (the “Data Fiduciary” under the DPDP Act) is Meshronix LLP, at E-59 Market Yard, Behind Krishi Panan Mandal, Gultekdi, Pune 411037, Maharashtra, India.

You can reach us about privacy at ceo@meshronix.com. Our Grievance Officer’s details are in section 10.

2. What this policy covers, and the local-first difference

Two things matter here, and it helps to keep them separate.

  • Your home runs locally. The day-to-day control of your home, the lights, the scenes, and how it responds, runs on the Meshronix Local Core inside your home. That control does not depend on the cloud to work.
  • Some things use a secure cloud that we run ourselves. To let you sign in, to keep a registry of your devices, to let you reach your home securely when you are away, and to hold an encrypted backup of your setup, we use an account service that Meshronix hosts on its own infrastructure in India, not a third-party consumer cloud. Backups are encrypted.
  • This policy covers all of the above, plus what you share with us as a company and what our website collects: your enquiries, bookings, support conversations, your app account, and site usage.

3. What we collect, and why

We collect only for a clear purpose, and we list the purpose next to each category (as the DPDP Act requires).

a. Information you give us

  • When you enquire, message us on WhatsApp, or book a walkthrough: your name, phone number, email, city, your role (for example homeowner, architect, or developer), and what you tell us about your project. Purpose: to reply to you, understand your requirement, and arrange a walkthrough or a scope.
  • When you become a client: the details needed to design, deliver, and service your project. Purpose: to carry out the work and support it afterwards.
  • When you contact support: your account and the details of your request. Purpose: to help you.

b. Information we collect automatically on the website

  • Basic technical data (browser and device type, approximate location from your IP), pages you view, and the campaign or link that brought you (UTM tags). Purpose: to run the site, keep it secure, and understand what content is useful. Our baseline measurement is privacy-first and cookieless, so it is not tied to you as an individual. Anything beyond that, including analytics and advertising measurement, runs only if you agree to it. See section 11.

c. Your Meshronix app account

  • Your account and sign-in details, the registry of your devices, the secure tokens that let you reach your home when you are away, and an encrypted backup of your setup. Purpose: to let you sign in, run your whole home from one app, reach it securely when you are out, and recover your setup if a device is replaced. The day-to-day control of your home still runs locally (section 2).

d. Conversations with us

  • We keep a record of your enquiry conversations, and we use automated tools, including AI, to help draft replies and route your request to the right person. A human is always available, and complex or sensitive matters go to a person. Purpose: to respond quickly and accurately.

We do not knowingly collect data we do not need, and we do not collect sensitive personal data unless it is genuinely required for a service you have asked for.

4. How we use your data

To reply to you and arrange walkthroughs; to design, deliver, and service projects; to run and secure the website and the app; to send you information you have asked for; to meet our legal and tax obligations; and to improve what we do. We use it for those purposes and no others without telling you first.

5. Consent, and how to withdraw it

Where the law requires your consent, we ask for it by a clear, active choice (never a pre-ticked box). You can withdraw consent at any time, and doing so is as easy as giving it. Write to us at ceo@meshronix.com and we will act on it. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing we already did lawfully, and some data we may need to keep to meet a legal obligation.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, under contract and only for the purposes above. The categories are:

  • Email delivery, messaging (including WhatsApp), and appointment booking providers, to communicate with you.
  • Customer-relationship and business-operations tools, to manage your enquiry and project.
  • Website hosting, storage, and analytics providers, to run the site.
  • AI processing providers, to help draft and route replies (section 3d).

We choose providers who handle data responsibly, work with them under contract, and we do not sell your data. A current list of the specific providers we use is available on request at ceo@meshronix.com. We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, or as part of a business transfer, and we will tell you where we can.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it, or as long as the law requires:

  • Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months from your last contact, then we delete or anonymise them.
  • Client records: for the life of the relationship and up to 8 years after it ends, to meet tax, warranty, and legal needs.
  • Conversation logs (for example your messages with our concierge): up to 24 months.

You can ask us to delete your data sooner, and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it. When we no longer need data, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, in line with the SPDI Rules. No system is perfectly secure, but keeping your home’s data local-first is a deliberate part of how we reduce risk. If a breach ever affects your data, we will act and notify as the law requires.

9. Sending data outside India

Your app account and its encrypted backup are hosted in India. Some of the providers who help us run the website and the business, for example email delivery, messaging, hosting, and AI processing, handle limited data on servers outside India. The DPDP Act allows this, except to countries the Government of India restricts, and we use providers we consider to handle data responsibly.

10. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and how we have used it.
  • Correct or complete data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Erase data we no longer need a lawful reason to keep.
  • Raise a grievance with us about how we handle your data.
  • Nominate someone to exercise your rights if you cannot.

To use any of these, write to our Grievance Officer, Gaurav Desadla (Founder), at ceo@meshronix.com, or by post to our registered office in section 1. We will respond within the timelines the law sets, and within 90 days for a grievance. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

11. Cookies and measurement

We keep cookies to a minimum, and nothing optional is stored on your device until you say yes. When you first visit, you are asked to choose. Until you do, only the cookies needed to make the site work and keep it secure are set. Google’s measurement tag does load for everyone, but until you agree to advertising it runs in a restricted mode: it writes no cookies, receives no identifiers, and cannot be used to recognise you or to show you advertising. Refusing takes one click, and you can change your mind at any time using Cookie choices in the footer of every page.

Our baseline traffic measurement is cookieless. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without cross-site tracking, so it is never tied to you as a person. It runs whatever you choose below, because it does not identify anyone.

There are three groups, and you control the second and third:

  • Necessary. Makes the site work and keeps it secure. Always on. No tracking.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics, so we can see which pages are found and used and make them better.
  • Advertising. The Google Ads tag and the Meta Pixel. These let us see which advertising actually brings people here, and show our advertising to people who have already visited. They are set by Google and Meta respectively and are subject to those companies’ own privacy policies.

If you decline advertising, Google may still receive an anonymous signal that a visit happened, with no identifiers and nothing stored on your device. We use this only to count how well our advertising works in aggregate. It cannot be used to identify you or to show you advertising.

We record your choice, and the date you made it, so we can honour it and show that we did. If we materially change what these tools do, we will ask you again rather than assume your earlier answer still stands.

12. Children

The website and our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Under the DPDP Act, processing a child’s data needs verifiable parental consent, and we do not do it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we will make the update clear.
